Summary
As a pastor’s daughter, Samara Taylor had a strong faith in miracles. Suddenly things changed, her mother found herself in rehab, and a young girl, Jody Shaw, from her small town was kidnapped. Her father had seemed to pay more attention to the children in the, not so wonderful youth group, than his own daughter. Her worn thread of faith began to unravel. Sam takes the young girls’ tragedy to heart, and begins to worry about it more than her own sea of isolation and doubt. Becoming friends with Jody’s brother as their world is flipped upside down. Getting into trouble as well as tripping upon more family issues only thins the faith in Sam, soon realizing the point of trial and the personalities of others.

“I wonder how you’re supposed to know the exact moment when there’s no more hope.”
